PRIMA DONNA AND THE DOLLYROTS TO CO-HEADLINE US TOUR

PRIMA DONNA AND THE DOLLYROTS TO CO-HEADLINE US TOUR
The Dolly Donna Tour de Rock

Ever since they shared the stage at the Knitting Factory showcase at South by Southwest 2011, the Dollyrots and Prima Donna have been talking about hitting the road together. While it seemed like a natural and obvious match-up, it’s taken until now to actually happen. The bands will pair up in Kansas City, Missouri and tour through the Mid-West and East Coast, at which point they will depart for separate overseas tours; the Dollyrots through the UK and Prima Donna throughout mainland Europe. Their final US stop together is at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn.

This is Prima Donna’s third American tour (and it will be their 2nd European tour) in support of their latest album, Bless This Mess, which was released by Acetate Records on Valentine’s Day of this year. A video for the album’s D. Sardy-mixed single, “Feral Children,” was released last month. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsAnnPuqhgU

KROQ Locals Only Showcase ft. Prima Donna & The Knitts 9/12

PRIMA DONNA AND THE KNITTS TOGETHER AT THE ROXY KROQ LOCALS ONLY SHOWCASE

Wednesday night, September 12th, Prima Donna and the Knitts will both be on board at the KROQ Locals Only Show, held at the Roxy Theatre.

Prima Donna has just returned from a successful West Coast tour co-headlining with the Phenomenauts. The week following the Roxy, they depart on another U.S. tour co-headlining with the Dollyrots. They will fly from Brooklyn at the end of this tour directly for a month in Europe. These are the latest in seemingly endless jaunts supporting their latest Acetate Records release, Bless This Mess.

Prima Donna also recently completed a video for the album’s single, “Feral Children.” Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsAnnPuqhgU

The Knitts are one of Knitting Factory Management’s latest signings. A five-piece performing what appears to be garage rock at first glance, the Knitts’ music has elements of such unrelated influences as Wire, the Strokes, the Misfits and the Beach Boys. Having packed them in at the Troubadour, Viper Room and On the Rox, this is the Knitts first appearance on the Roxy stage.

Also on hand are the Darlings, Neo Geo, and New Beat Fund. The Knitts hit the stage promptly at 8:00 PM, Prima Donna at 9:30. This is an All Ages show.

THE NERVOUS WRECKORDS SIGN WITH KNITTING FACTORY MANAGEMENT

THE NERVOUS WRECKORDS SIGN WITH KNITTING FACTORY MANAGEMENT AND SLATE RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM, LET THEM ALL TALK FOR SEPTEMBER 25TH

Los Angeles, CA: Let Them All Talk is the forthcoming and first national release from California’s The Nervous Wreckords (features Brian Karscig of LOUIS XIV).

The album, their second full-length, is set to drop on September 25th and marks the band’s first release under the Knitting Factory Management umbrella.

Breakups, jealousy, beauty, swagger, sexual tension- all rolled into a record that sounds like a party you shouldn’t have missed.

While they may like being called “indie pop” it’s a shallow label that’s still hard to deny given the catchy guitar riffs, sassy lyrics, melodic choruses and mobilizing beats, but it doesn’t end there. Having recorded the whole record in Karscig’s home studio on a vintage Neve board with 60s and 70s gear, the band have a firm grip on their inspirational pieces invoking everything from T-Rex to the Stooges to Prince and AC/DC.

In the 2 years since their formation, the band has shared stages with a diverse array of notable artists, The Killers, Cee-Lo Green, Brandon Flowers, Florence and the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, the Naked and Famous, just to name a few.

2012 was a good year for the Nervous Wreckords, as the band wrapped recording on Let Them All Talk, then toured the Caribbean with Weezer, Yuck, Antlers and Wavves and hit a late Spring tour of the US and Canada.

The Nervous Wreckords released their first full-length album, VALUMINIUM at the end of 2010. The album was more of a collection of home demos Karscig wanted to release before the band became the force that it has become as a live band, but still gave them a platform to open shows with such acts as Brandon Flowers and CEE LO Green in 2011, and landed songs from the record in commercials for Charlotte Russe and Victoria Secret, Music station placement on Virgin America and Delta Airlines, television show “The Buried Life” on MTV and the movie trailer for “Little Blue Pill”.
